Don't you hate a fence sitter, and yet, this is where this book falls, not bad but not great.

On the cover of the copy of this book I received it said, "In the fabulous tradition of Janet Evanovich"  Then I checked out the acknowledgements, "...Nor could it have been written without the encouragement of Janet Evanovich on whose New Hampshire kitchen table Bubbles was born.  She has been an invaluable role model."  SHWIIIING!  I settled down to love this series.  And then I didn't.  Huh?  I know, right?

I truly enjoyed this book...and yet, it failed to rock my world because (see explanation in review).

I had been searching long and arduously for a Sophie Kinsella-like author and I've hit the jackpot with Sarah Strohmeyer.  I love a good comedic situation romance novel and The Sleeping Beauty Proposal is a perfect example of one hedged reply becoming a constant pie in the face in various flavours.  What makes this story yummy for us as readers is watching things wind tighter and tighter until they literally explode.  Each of us has an embarrassing moment (or many moments) and life's lesson is to laugh at ourselves.
